Spring and Summer 2010 Practice Schedule Changes

Due to limited water space at Calphin indoor pool, we will move to Kennedy and American high school pools for our daily practice starting March 1, 2010.  All Gold and Silver groups will be practicing at Kennedy, and Platinum and Elite groups will have to move between two pools according to facility availability.  Please check following link for detailed spring and summer practice schedule:    http://www.teamunify.com/pccdst/__doc__/2010_Spring_Summer_Practice_Schedule.pdf

We try our best to make the practice schedule as stable and efficient as possible, and get more water time possible for each group with minimum cost.   Please be supportive if your swimmer’s practice time or location has to change once a while.  

Why We All Need to Move to Outdoor?

We started our swim team program from outdoor Kennedy High three years ago in spring, but we did not start running year round program until two years ago in fall because no pools available in the winter before that time.   We used Calphin indoor pool during the winter season, but now CDST needs more water space to fit our swimmers’ needs and Calphin lesson program needs room to expend as well.   We also need to increase our team size so we can be more financial stabilized in the long run.  Using high school pools will be our long term goals.

Montclair Pentathlon Meet (March 20, 2010)

Our next swim meet after Zone 2 is Montclair Pentathlon meet.  We had a lot of fun last year participating this meet.  We will notify you by email once it is open for sign up. 

It is required to wear the team cap at the swim meet.  Please purchase a swim cap with our new team logo on before you go to the meet.  CDST team shirts and sweaters are also available to purchase but it is optional.

Coaching Staff

We are very pleased to have Coach Randy and Coach Rob back to our coaching staff.  Mainly coach Rob will be helping coach Wang with Platinum and Elite groups at American high and Randy will be coaching with Shao for Silver and Gold groups at Kennedy high. 

Monthly Due Decrease

Due to rental decrease in spring and summer, we are going to make following adjustment on monthly due for each group to keep our team above the water and cash flow positive.  20% siblings discount still applies.
